Check with your funder to see if you are required to publish open access. Some funders have specific requirements such as an open access Creative Commons (CC BY) license. Keep in mind that publishing your article via open access will require that you pay article processing charges.
If open access is not required by your grant funder, you may decide to publish your article in the traditional method via copyright transfer.
