It is important that you make sure your equations display correctly in the published article. Here are a few tips.
In Microsoft Word, use either the Microsoft Equation Editor or the MathType add-on to insert equations in your article:
- “Float over text” should not be selected.
- Define any symbols in your equation before or immediately after the equation appears.
- Check that your equation displays properly in the article proof you will receive before publication.
IEEE recommends that you do not include mathematical symbols in your article title or abstract because they may not display properly.
